Mike Jones has spent his life serving his country and community with integrity, discipline, and a deep respect for the law. A retired United States Marine and Texas law enforcement officer with more than 27 years of experience, Mike has dedicated his career to ensuring fairness, accountability, and justice for the people of Ellis County.
​
For the past 16 years, Mike has proudly served as the Constable for Precinct 4, applying the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Penal Code, Property Code, and other statutes to uphold justice and protect residents. His hands-on experience extends across both civil and criminal law enforcement, from serving warrants and attending court proceedings to training new Justices of the Peace on courtroom procedures and legal interpretation.

Mike has completed over 3,000 hours of certified law enforcement training through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and is a 2012 graduate of the Constable College at Sam Houston State University, specializing in civil and criminal law enforcement. His extensive education and decades of real-world experience have prepared him to serve with the fairness, transparency, and dedication that the Justice of the Peace role demands.

Throughout his career, Mike has been an active leader in the Constable’s Association, providing training to fellow Constables statewide. His commitment to Ellis County goes beyond the courtroom — he’s a familiar face in the community, always showing up, listening, and lending a helping hand.

From the Marine Corps to law enforcement to local service, Mike’s life has been defined by his unwavering commitment to duty and community. As Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4, he will continue to bring the same integrity, discipline, and dedication that have guided him for over four decades.
